I have been playing guitar for about two years now, and I am ready to learn a new instrument. I have all the patience in the world, so I want the BEST method, not necessarily the fastest. What is the best way to learn piano?

I have played the alto sax for about 8 years now and I’m very good, if I do say so myself: I know my scales and practice my Ferling etudes often. I would love to learn the piano but I don’t have time to get private lessons or take a class. I actually took just one semester like a year ago and I was doing great. Knowing this, you piano virtuosos, do you think that I can teach myself through lesson books? I’m not looking to become a professional pianist of course, just proficient enough.

I’ve played the flute for about 10 years now, and I would like to learn how to play the piano. Apart from reading music I have some experience as a music producer. I would like to know approximately how long it would take to be proficient. I would also appreciate any suggestions on piano learning methods. Thanks.

if i were to start to self teach myself how to play piano now, at age 15, and practise 1hour a day everyday, how long will it take me to learn piano fluently?

when i was younger, i already played the piano so i already know how to play but singing at the same time is really hard for me. is there like a warm up process or a break down i could do to help me get them both down. and for those wondering im currently practicing Boston from augustana, cable car from the fray, and drops of jupiter from rain.

Is 19 at the age of old dogs can’t learn new tricks stage?
I heard some say that our brain stop developing at a certain age(12?) So it would be alot harder now if i didn’t start learning at a really young age.

I always wanted to play piano really. . . but I guess I was a bit to lazy and wasn’t really motivated enough. Now I sort of regret it back then.

I play piano. I’ve been playing for about 7 years. I’m advanced and I’d like to know some good songs to play on the piano. I like the classics a lot like Romeo and Juliet or Love Story. I was wondering if anyone knew any other good songs similar to Love Story and Romeo and Juliet. Thanks for answering.

I understand learning from a Piano teacher is the best way to learn piano but I don’t have the funds at the moment and I really want to learn. Are there any other foolproof methods online or books with tips and tricks to speed up the learning curve. I’ve played guitar for 5 years now and I know music theory and scales and all the notes of the piano but concepts like sightreading are beyond me. So can anyone help? And please, SERIOUS ANSWERS!
